Summary Scope of Work
The purpose of this project was to assist the Central Water and Sewerage Authority of St. Vincent and the Grenadines with the response to their disaster and to help mitigate future disasters and build resilience into their systems.
A three-phased approach to establishing an all-hazards Resilience Program was developed. Firstly, a Status Quo Assessment in which existing water, sanitation, and solid waste infrastructure, procedures, capacities, resilience, and vulnerabilities were quantified and categorized. This was followed by development of the Resilience Program that includes Emergency Response Planning. Lastly steps to improve the long-term resilience and sustainability of CWSA operations were developed.
